About Optics Intel
Optics Intel exists because most optics content on the internet is spec sheets with adjectives — or worse, "reviews" by people who never touched the product. We do it differently: our guides are researched against primary sources with every unknown flagged honestly, and the word "review" is reserved for optics we've personally mounted, zeroed, and shot.
We're based on Colorado's Front Range, which happens to put us within an hour of some of the best-known names in American optics. When we cover a scope, we can drive to the factory that made it.
Our promise
- Nothing is ever called a review without range time. Ever.
- Specs are verified against the manufacturer's own data — and when sources conflict, we tell you.
- What we haven't tested, we say we haven't tested — and list what testing would answer.
- We tell you who shouldn't buy each optic, not just who should.
- Affiliate links never change a conclusion. Here's how we make money.
